IDPLR Review – Is PLR Useful?
One of the most profitable ways to make money online is through affiliate marketing, where you recommend that people buy a product and you receive a commission when they buy it. It’s more profitable, however, to sell products of your own, where you can keep all of the profits instead of simply receiving a commission. But where do you get products to sell? You can create your own, or you can acquire private label rights (PLR) products. IDPLR makes it easy to find products that might be useful for personal use, giveaways, or resale, and they’ve got thousands of products in their database.
What are private label rights? These are products, such as articles, software packages, video training tutorials and ebooks that are offered for sale, but unlike most products, these are generally offered with the right to resell the products themselves. In some cases, you can even rebrand the products and sell them as if you created them yourself! That’s a powerful option, as you’ll be able to take an existing product, make it appear to be something brand new, and make money from it. IDPLR has thousands of products like this, so I signed up for the site to see how it works. Read on for the full IDPLR review.
There are two basic memberships at IDPLR; the free, or “silver” membership and the paid one, or the “gold” membership. Both give you access to an extensive collection of products, but the free membership is somewhat limited. The paid version includes nearly 20 times as many products, along with a greater variety of them. The free membership, for example, gives you access to several hundred ebooks and a few pieces of software.
The paid IDPLR membership, on the other hand, gives you access to ebooks, software, video training courses, more than 200 graphics packages, Website templates and even complete Websites. The total number of products offered for the paid membership currently exceeds 8000 titles. With your paid membership, you can literally download all of them, if you like and resell them or use them for personal use.
What can you do with products that you receive from IDPLR? That depends, as the rights for the products vary. Nearly all of the products offered at IDPLR come with resell rights, which means that you can download them, put them up on your Website or blog, and charge money for them. If you wanted to, for example, you could create an online software store and fill the store with products from IDPLR – all of which are free to you as a paid member.
The variety of products is quite broad – weight loss, Internet marketing, cooking, physical fitness. You name it – it’s probably there. The products all come with graphics, too, making it easy to market them. A number of the products, however, also include giveaway rights. Why would you want to give products away? Because it’s a great way to get people to sign up for your mailing list. If you have a blog in the weight loss niche, for instance, you could give away a book on diet or weight loss in exchange for the email address of your site visitors and then you could build a mailing list of customers to whom you could sell other products from IDPLR.
If you already have a product of your own that you sell, you could include one or more products from IDPLR as a bonus – you’re giving extra value to your buyers without having to pay anything extra for it. You could also use content from one or more IDPLR books as an inspiration for creating content on your Website or for creating an information product of your own.
The paid membership also includes access to the “Latest 100” list, where you can see at a glance which products have most recently been added to the download section of the site. IDPLR even includes 5 GB of Web hosting space, so you could build one or more small Websites and have them hosted for free. It seems like an odd thing to offer as an extra for a PLR product, but then again, if you wanted to build an online store with downloadable products from IDPLR as your product, why not have them host the store for you? After paying for your membership, you’d be getting both the Web hosting and the products in your store for free, which would make your store potentially a profitable one from day one.
If there’s a place where you should never use private label rights products, it’s as content for your Website or blog. Yes, IDPLR does have more than 20,000 articles available for download with a paid membership, and one of their suggestions is that you could use those articles for Website or blog content. NEVER DO THIS. Publishing private label rights articles word for word will constitute duplicate content, and it could get your site penalized by the search engines. Similarly, if you download products from IDPLR for resale and you want to list them for sale on your Website, I strongly recommend that you create new cover graphics for them and rename them so that the products appear to be new and unique to you.
Fortunately, membership in IDPLR includes access to cover generator software, which makes it easy to create a new cover in a snap.
Perhaps the best use of membership in IDPLR is that you can personally use any of the 8000 products that are yours when you join. There’s lots of useful information there about just about any topic you can name, along with a lot of useful software and hundreds of training videos. If you just like learning about things, IDPLR is a great resource.
One of the problems with private label rights products is that some of them have been around for a while and people think they’ve seen them before. If you don’t mind taking a few minutes to rebrand the products that you intend to resell, you can potentially create a lucrative business for a small amount of money. At the moment, the paid membership to IDPLR comes for a surprising small, one-time fee. While I’m generally on the fence about PLR, I’m pretty impressed with the quality and volume of products available on the IDPLR site, and I think you will be, too.
IDPLR is highly recommended.
