Online photo sites are hot; people just love sharing photos online. You can post and share images at Pinterest, Snapchat, Instagram, and others. You can also make money on those sites if you’re so inclined. A new book called Pictures Empire says it can show you how to make money on Instagram. In fact, the sales page says you can earn $149 per day.
Even better, Pictures Empire says that you can make money on Instagram by doing things you’re already doing. If you’re one of the hundreds of millions of Instagram users, then you might very well be interested in learning how to turn your time there into something a bit more profitable. Will the methods in Pictures Empire work? Is Pictures Empire a scam? Read on for the full Pictures Empire review.
Pictures Empire Overview
Pictures Empire is an ebook in PDF format, so you can just download it to your computer or tablet and start reading. As I write this review, the price for the book is $47, which is about average for books about how to make money online. There’s a single upsell; a membership in a forum dedicated to making money on Instagram. You can sign up for that for $1 and then there’s a monthly fee that kicks in in 14 days or so.
The basic Pictures Empire ebook is pretty straightforward, and is longer than most ebooks I see these days at 84 pages.
Don’t know anything about Instagram? That’s not a problem, as Pictures Empire walks you through Instagram basics – what it does, how it does it, how you join, and how to optimize your profile to get the most out of your Instagram membership.
Chapters in the book include:
- What is Instagram?
- Finding your niche
- Creating your Instagram account
- Uploading images to your account
- Hashtags and how to use them
- Growth tactics
- Driving traffic
- Using Shoutouts to get more followers
- Automating the process
- Image tools and how to use them
- Tips on how to follow other users
- Building your Pictures Empire
- Your passion for taking pictures
- Turn your passion into a money machine

- Done-for-you niche ideas
As you can see, Pictures Empire offers quite a lot of information. If you’re new to taking pictures, uploading them, using Instragram in general, finding followers, you might find the book to be helpful.
The monetization methods in Pictures Empire mostly involve building up a big list of followers and then using CPA (cost per action) advertising to make money. In short, upload pictures people will want, take a few steps (including buying some shoutouts) to get more followers, and then direct them to CPA offers that will pay you if they buy, signup, or try a new product.
All of this is pretty straightforward stuff, and the information contained in Pictures Empire should give anyone who wants to give this a try a good basic overview of the process for using Instagram to make money. But it doesn’t…at least…not exactly.
So what’s the problem?
It took me a while to figure out exactly what the big problem is with Pictures Empire. The writing in the book struck me as a bit odd, but I thought at first that it was simply written by someone who didn’t have very good grammar skills. After reading a bit more and seeing odd synonyms used in the book (“fabricate it and they will come” rather than “build it and they will come”), I thought that perhaps the text of the book had been run through some sort of text spinning software.
No, that wasn’t the case, either. It appears that the author of Pictures Empire, who does not give their name on either the book or the sales page, has no English grammar skills at all. It seems that the entire book was written in a language other than English and then run through some translation software.
The result is a book that shares most of the information that you’ll need, but shares it in a way that makes huge chunks of the book almost incomprehensible. The words and ideas are there, but it’s really difficult to determine what the author is trying to say a good portion of the time.
A few other ideas are a bit half baked and not as thoroughly presented as they might be. For example, Instagram apparently doesn’t approve of affiliate links, and if you try to include them in the images you post, they might not get approved. The author of Pictures Empire suggests that you can avoid this by purchasing your own domain name.
Yes, that would be a part of the process of obfuscating an affiliate link, but you’d also have to install WordPress and a link tool such as Pretty Link that will take an affiliate link and turn it into a “friendly” link that just looks like a link to a page on a blog. That’s the entire process, but Pictures Empire doesn’t tell you anything other than “go buy a domain name for this.” That’s not a big help.
On the plus side…
…Pictures Empire does offer a helpful list of ready-to-use niches that should be quite profitable. The book also recommends some CPA networks that are highly regarded and fairly easy to join. A final section of the book offers a list of helpful hashtags to use on Instagram, conveniently sorted by niche.
Pictures Empire Summary
The idea of making money from one of the world’s most popular Websites and perhaps THE most popular photo sharing site is a good one, and a lot of the information contained in Pictures Empire will help you get the general idea as to what the site is about and how you might go about making money by creating an account and posting images there.
The downside, of course, is that the information isn’t as coherent as it could have been, because the author elected to use translation software, rather than paying someone who had a good command of English to translate the book in such a way as to make it more readable.
Because of this, I can’t quite give Pictures Empire a “must buy” recommendation. I rate it as so-so.
