One of the easiest ways to get started making money online is through blogging. You can find a topic or niche that you’re passionate about, write articles about it on a regular basis, and make money either through advertising on your site, such as Google Adsense, or by recommending products to your site visitors through affiliate marketing. The nice thing about this method is that it doesn’t require a lot of skill, and thousands of people are going to successfully make money blogging in 2016. Why not join them?
Of course, not everyone who throws up a quick Website is going to make money blogging in 2016, because there are a number of pitfalls that can hinder your success. Some are obvious and others are a little more subtle. Still, it helps to avoid the common mistakes if you can manage to avoid them. Keep in mind, too, that success will come in time. No blog has ever been successful from the start. It takes time to develop an audience and to find your niche. Read on for my suggestions about how to avoid common problems that might make it harder to make money blogging in 2016.
If you’re reading this, it’s likely because you’re interested in making money in 2016. There’s nothing wrong with that; we all have to eat. It’s much more fun and interesting to work from home than it is to work at a job you hate, so why not try to be your own boss? The problem for many people is that they don’t know how to go about it or what to do. While there is no “one size fits all” solution that works for everyone, there are some general principles that can help anyone who is interested in making money in 2016.
A common problem among people who are new to trying to make money online is to try to find a “system” that will allow them to make money quickly and without a lot of effort. There are such systems that do make money, but the problem is that they usually only make money for the people who sell them. The people who buy them are generally out of luck, because there are no simple “systems” that will allow you to make money easily. The truth is that it’s had work to succeed online and it’s going to be a full time job to succeed. That’s the bad news; the good news is that there is a general process that can apply to just about anything you want to do to succeed. If you’re interested in making money in 2016, then read on and I’ll explain.
There’s a common question asked by those who are new to affiliate marketing, and I saw it asked again today on a marketing forum: “Why would someone buy through my affiliate link instead of going directly to Amazon and buying it there?” The question gets asked all the time, and not just by Amazon affiliates. It applies to any affiliate or any affiliate program, be it eBay, JVZoo, Commission Junction or Clickbank.
There are a number of answers to that question, but the most basic answer is this: They will buy through your affiliate link if you provide something to them that they otherwise wouldn’t get. That value can come in a number of different ways, and it’s up to you to figure out exactly what it is that you’re going to provide to the customer. If you can figure that out, you’ll win. Read on for some suggestions about how to increase your affiliate marketing sales.
As they say, “the money is in the list.” If you have a mailing list, you can increase your affiliate marketing earnings. It’s a bit of trouble to maintain a mailing list, and there’s a lot to know. You’ll need to find an autoresponder system and learn how to use it. You’ll have to learn to write email messages and you’ll have to learn how to properly format them to work with your chosen autoresponder. There’s a lot to know, but there’s also no shortage of information on the Web about how to properly use an autoresponder and a mailing list.
The problem is that some of these mailing list tips that are frequently posted here and there aren’t actually helpful, and in some cases, they can even hurt you. While the ultimate goal of a mailing list is to help you convey whatever messages you choose to the people on your mailing list, making sure that they receive the messages and that the messages have value to them should be paramount. Sometimes, the mailing list tips offered by so-called “gurus” or “experts” are helpful, but at other times, they’re misleading or counterproductive. Read on and I’ll explain.
I get feedback from visitors to this site as well as from those on my mailing list, and occasionally, I hear from frustrated individuals who are simply overwhelmed and are suffering from information overload. If you’ve been in the industry for a while, you become familiar with the terminology and the process used in making money, building Websites or building and maintaining a mailing list.
On the other hand, if you’re new to affiliate marketing, every single term and every single step can seem like a huge obstacle. Now clearly, this industry is not for everyone, and it’s quite possible that some of you simply aren’t suited to making money online. That’s not a criticism, but rather an observation. I, after all, am not suited to a career as a concert pianist. I simply don’t have the skill set, and at this point in my life, I’m incapable of acquiring the skills necessary for a career playing a piano in front of a concert audience. Still, some people who are suited to making money online are still occasionally burdened with information overload. In this post, I’ll discuss this issue as well as some ways to over come the information overload problem.
I’ve seen an awful lot of books, software programs, videos and training courses in the make money online niche over the years, and there’s one phrase, or a variation on it, that remains evergreen. It never goes out of style, and it’s the one phrase that is almost always guaranteed to spur sales. That phrase is “make money fast!” or some version of it, like “make money now!” or “make money in 24 hours!”
With that phrase, the sales page will then go on to tell you about a “method” or a “system” or a “secret loophole” that will allow you to start putting money in the bank within minutes or hours of buying their course. I’ll freely admit, too, that I’ve fallen for these sales pitches over the years, and I’ve purchased a few of those products, looking for the ways to make money quickly or on autopilot, or using some secret loophole in the system that would allow me to get instant results. Of course, as you might guess, these things pretty much never work out…except for the people selling the products, of course. So why do they market their products this way?
I saw a post on an Internet marketing forum recently about failure. The person who started the thread said that they’d tried a number of things to make money online and that they’d all failed. The added that they were uncertain about trying again and wondering what they should do about it. Should they continue? What if they fail again?
Failure in Internet marketing is actually quite common, despite what many of the so-called Internet marketing gurus tell you. Of course, Internet marketing isn’t the only field of business where failure is common; it’s also common in every other type of business on Earth. That’s the nature of business. It’s competitive. Sometimes your ideas don’t work. Sometimes your ideas do work and then, for some reason, they quit working later. What can you do about it?
Lots of people are looking for ways to make money online, but don’t know how to go about it. A lot of them don’t even understand the mechanisms at work, and if you don’t understand how the money is made, then you’re not likely to know how to go about making that happen. While it isn’t easy to get started conducting online business, tens of thousands of people have been successful, and there’s no reason why you can’t join them.
A lot of people might think that the only way to make money online is to open an ecommerce store and sell things. That certainly works, and online retailing is booming these days. Programs like Shopify make it easy to create your own online storefront and you can have a store up and running in just a couple of hours if you put your mind to it. If retailing isn’t your thing, then don’t worry; there are lots of other ways to make money online, as we’ll show you in the coming paragraphs.
The entire point of this blog is to help people learn about making money online. It’s not necessarily easy to do, but once you get a taste of success, you’ll realize that it can be a lot of fun and it’s usually more interesting to work from home than to work at some job you hate. Still, a lot of people struggle to earn that first dollar, and some people never get that far. The reasons vary, and there could be a thousand reasons why any single individual isn’t succeeding in Internet marketing.
Although it’s hard to generalize, as we’re all different, there are a handful of reasons why most people who fail to succeed in making money online are failing. There are some common problems that affect a lot of people in this industry, and if you’re struggling to earn that first dollar, you might want to look over the following list and see if any of these problems might apply to you. If so, they can be fixed, and perhaps you’ll soon be on your way to seeing some success in affiliate marketing or whatever other method you’re using.
In the course of earning a living online, I promote and sell a variety of products in a number of different ways. You might not know that if you read this blog, where I promote a number of products but emphasize one over the others – Wealthy Affiliate. I like the product, think it offers good value for the money and it converts fairly well, which is to say that the people to whom I recommend the product seem to like it.
While I promote other products, this is the product that I think works best with both the content and the readership of this blog. Many of the visitors to this site are people who are new to trying to make money online and they may not fully understand the process that goes into making money in affiliate marketing. Wealthy Affiliate is a good way to introduce them to the concepts involved and with the free trial, they can even learn the basics for free. But someone recently posted a question in the comments on this site about that, asking, “Why do you promote wealthy affiliate for a few bucks when you can promote these “high ticket” products and make much more? ” That’s a good question, so I thought I’d go into detail about that in this blog post.
