trendy rock reviewI’d rather not spend all of my time reviewing sites like Trendy Rock, but sites like Trendy Rock are all anyone seems to talk about these days.  That’s because a lot of people are drawn to promises of making a lot of money without having to do much work.  Truth be told, I’d find that appealing, too, so in order to save my readers the trouble of finding out what Trendy Rock is all about, I decided to sign up myself.

Trendy Rock says you can earn $300 per day and $5000 per month by doing a fairly simple task – sharing the link that they provide.  That sounds interesting, so I thought I’d sign up and see what it’s about.  Is Trendy Rock a scam?

Read on for the full Trendy Rock review.

Trendy Rock Overview

Trendy Rock is a membership site, but it’s completely free to join.  Signup is easy; you just need to give them an email address and a password and you’ll find yourself in the members’ area right away.  There, you’ll find your dashboard, and you’ll see the “task” that you have to do to earn $10.

Share the link that they provide you.

That’s all; you get a special link that looks like this: http://trendyrock.com/?share=97403

The suggest that you share it on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Youtube, forums, chat rooms, blogs and anywhere else you can find to share the link.  If you share it and someone clicks on it, you’ll have $10 added to your account balance.  They say that you can earn $300 per day this way, and because of that, lots of people are sharing their links on Facebook and elsewhere, trying to get as many people as possible to sign up.

Trendy Rock says that they’ll pay you via PayPal, check, Western Union, MoneyGram or bank transfer at the end of each month, and that you must have $300 or more in your balance to qualify.  They also say that if you haven’t logged in to your account in 30 days, you will lose all of your accumulated earnings.

OK, that’s pretty straightforward.  Sign up, share the link, and make money.  Sounds like an easy $5000 per month!

The Problem With Trendy Rock

There is a small problem with Trendy Rock, and it’s one that every member is going to encounter – they don’t pay.

trendy rock ripoffThey don’t pay at all.  Trendy Rock is owned by the same people who own sites I’ve previously reviewed, such as Duty on Time.  I have a $656 balance at Duty on Time, but I haven’t been able to cash it out.  Why?

When you click on the link to bet paid, you’re redirected to a “download” page at another site.   This page says nothing about my payment, but instead tells me that my download is ready, and all I have to do to get is to complete one of the five listed offers:

  • Enter your email to win a box of travel-sized necessities!
  • Sign up to receive Free Socks!
  • Free Beauty and Health Samples
  • Sign up to Find out how to file your taxes for FREE!
  • Get $1000 to spend on Nike!

This ad to complete an offer is transparent, and is blocking the page, which again, says nothing about payment but has a button that says “Download” on it.

So what’s going on?  What’s going on with Trendy Rock is that they’re trying to get you to complete one of those offers.  I clicked on one, and it asked me for my email address, and then it asked me for my full name, address, and phone number.

trendy rock scamIf I were to complete this offer, the owners of Trendy Rock would receive $1-$5 from the company that’s making the offer.  This is known in the marketing world as a CPA (cost per action) offer, and it’s a way that companies have of getting new customers.  If I were to sign up, I’d likely start receiving email on a daily basis from one or more companies, trying to get me to buy their products.

Trendy Rock is trying to get as many people as possible to complete those offers, because they make money every time someone fills out an application.  And what better way to get someone to fill out an application than to promise them that they’ll get paid $300 or more if they do?

The problem, as I mentioned, is that Trendy Rock doesn’t pay.  The entire site, as well as all the other sites this company owns, is about getting you to fill out an offer.  They trick you into doing that by telling you that this is what you must do to get paid.  Since you’ve already probably spent the time to share the link with all of your friends, you’ll likely take the time to fill out the offer, too, in hopes that you’ll get paid.

In the end, Trendy Rock will make a couple of bucks, and you’ll end up with an inbox full of offers for socks or Nike shoes.  You won’t get paid, though.

These sites seem to come and go pretty quickly.  I tried to visit Duty on Time today and I got redirected to a new site called DollarSaw.com.  Apparently, people catch on that these sites don’t actually pay, so the companies just create new ones that have different names, different logos and different promises.

Then they repeat the entire process again.  You still don’t get paid, though.

Trendy Rock Summary

trendy rock - thumbs downIs Trendy Rock a quick and easy way to make money?  It is if you’re the owner of the Trendy Rock Website; they’re probably making a couple of thousand dollars per day from the many people who complete the CPA offers on their site, hoping to get paid.  You won’t get paid yourself, however, as the entire site is just a waste of time for anyone who joins.

If you want to learn how to make money, there are better ways to do it than Trendy Rock.  I’d recommend that you try one of those programs instead.

Trendy Rock is not recommended.

    • From Trendy Rock? You do not get your money. They do not pay.

I said that in my review above.
