A few months ago, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission shut down the MOBE Website, saying that the program, in their opinion, is fraudulent, and that it was making promises to members that were unreasonable regarding the amount of money that they might make from the program.
I get a lot of email and comments on this site from people who have no money but want to work from home.
There are a lot of ways to make money working from home, but most of them require that you have at least some money to spend. That might involve setting up a Website or buying merchandise to sell online, or any one of a number of other things that require you to spend money before you can make money.
But what if you have no money at all? How can you get started making money?
Amazon Mechanical Turk might be able to help you.
Amazon Mechanical Turk is a Website that was built and is owned by Amazon, the large online retailer of books and pretty much everything else.
At Amazon Mechanical Turk, you can perform small tasks for payment, and you can work from anywhere in the world.
Is Amazon Mechanical Turk a scam, or does it really work?

I’ve written a bit about cryptocurrency in general and about Bitcoin specifically and how it’s possible to make money with Bitcoin and altcoins.
In order to do that, you should treat your investment in cryptocurrency as you would any other investment – do your research and be sure that you’re investing your money in a way that won’t leave you spending money you can’t afford to lose.
With the attention that Bitcoin has been getting in the news the last few months, numerous Bitcoin Doubler Websites have popped up recently, and they’re all making the same promise:
You can deposit money with them and double your money in just a few hours.
Does this really work? Can you really make money with a Bitcoin Doubler?
“How do I make money?” I get email all the time from people asking that very question. They post it on my Facebook page, too. Even in a strong economy, people want to know how to make money.
Laura Pennington, creator of My Freelance Paycheck, says she’s solved that problem and that she earns multiple $500+ “secret paychecks” every week. Of course, her book will explain what these “secret” paychecks are and how you can get them.
It sounded interesting, largely because the sales page didn’t seem to have too much hype to it. She isn’t promising that you’ll get rich; she’s just promising that her My Freelance Paycheck system, whatever it is, will allow you to make money, and that it’s something that most everyone can do.
I decided to take a closer look and see what My Freelance Paycheck is all about. Is My Freelance Paycheck a scam, or is it the real deal?
I get a lot of questions about making money online. Often, people will ask me about specific products. “Will this product allow me to make money?” I say no. “How about this one?” I say, “I reviewed that, and it’s not a good product.” “Is this one any better? I need to make money!”
Questions like these are common, but they’re also the wrong questions. A lot of people see ads for products in the make money niche that claim they’ll make it easy for you to earn $100, $500 or even $1000 per day. Often they’re sold with claims of “push-button ease,” “autopilot profits,” or “make money while you sleep.” Some of these products are actually capable of helping you make money, but if you’re new, you’re destined to fail, even with the good ones. Why?
Most people work for a living, and they do so at regular jobs. That means they’re working for other people, performing tasks those people want done, and doing it on a timetable and schedule that suits their employer. It’s debatable as to whether most people actually enjoy this arrangement; some undoubtedly do and others do not. Still, if you want a job and a regular, steady paycheck, you’re going to have to do as your told.
It doesn’t have to be that way, and for a growing number of people, working from home is becoming an option. The Internet has helped a lot in that regard, and the Web offers a lot of opportunities for working from home that weren’t available just a few short years ago. Just like a real job, working from home does require attention to detail and a lot of time, but when you’re doing that, you, rather than your boss, is in charge.
It’s not for everyone, however. In this post, I’ll offer a few reasons why working from home may make sense for you.
I’ve been working in the make money online niche for more than ten years now, and in that time, I have built more than two thousand Websites. I’ve written ebooks. I’ve sold training programs. I’ve worked as an affiliate marketer for dozens of companies. I’ve sold products via direct retail (and still do.) There have been times when I was very successful, times when I wasn’t, and times when things were steady, but unspectacular.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my decade as an Internet marketer, it’s that change is a constant companion. Something will work really well one day, bring in lots of cash, and then…nothing. Sometimes, it’s worse than nothing, when you suddenly find yourself losing money doing something that was profitable just a short time ago. Why does this happen? Why do plans to make money online work one day and not the next?
A lot of people want to know how to make money online, and people search for that particular phrase more than one hundred thousand times every month. That’s not surprising, really, as a lot of people have jobs that they don’t really like very much. With the Internet, there are a lot of opportunities for people who want to learn how to make money online.
Plus, working from home is fun. You work at your own pace, and ideally, you work doing something you enjoy. It can be a much less stressful way of earning a living than grinding it out at a job you hate.
The problem for many people is that when they search for how to make money online, they can’t tell the difference between the genuine opportunities and the work from home scams. There are plenty of both, but if you’re a newbie or just getting started, it can be difficult to tell the difference between what works and what is simply going to take advantage of you.
If there’s one thing I see a lot in the course if this business, it’s desperation. I see it on marketing forums and I see it in the email messages I receive from this site. “I really need money. Please help.” “What can I do to make money today?” Desperation comes in varying degrees, of course; some people are literally starving while others are simply out of work and have no income. They’ve heard that there are ways of making money online, and they are hoping that someone, somewhere, will tell them “the secret” so that they can start earning piles of cash.
There is certainly no shortage of people who want to sell “the secret” to you, and it’s usually in the form of a system of some kind. You buy an ebook or some software, and you do what the book tells you to do, and then the money rolls in. There are lots of people selling such systems and most of them make a lot of money….selling the system. I’m not so sure that they’re actually making any money from using the system. The profits come from offering that system to desperate buyers. There’s a problem with that, however, and if you don’t pay attention to it, you’ll have problems making money online.
Buying a domain name isn’t necessarily a difficult thing to do, but there are a few hassles involved. You’ve got to pick a name. Then you have to find out if it’s available with your chosen top level domain (TLD) extension. Then you need to decide if you want to buy privacy protection so that your name and address are hidden from the public and pesky salespeople. And you need to shop around to find a domain name registrar that’s offering a good price, and the prices seem to vary from day to day, often dramatically.
Adding to the hassle is the fact that most domain name registrars try to get you to buy a bunch of upsells. Privacy protection is usually extra. Want an email service? Or hosting? Or an SSL certificate? These things usually show up when you try to check out and buy your domain name. You’ve got to work past them just to check out and make the purchase. Finally, you need to somehow keep track of which domain names you own and where they’re registered so that you don’t accidentally allow them to expire, which will immediately take your site offline. Fortunately, buying a domain name just got easier, courtesy of Wealthy Affiliate. Read on to learn more.
