youtube secrets reviewA big part of making money is getting whatever it is you’re trying to sell in front of people.  If you have a Website, you’ll spend most of your time trying to draw traffic to it.

What if there were a way to put your product on a site that already has millions of visitors?  Wouldn’t it be easier to make money that way?

That’s the essential theme to YouTube Secrets, a course that’s designed to show you how to make money by using YouTube, one of the busiest sites on the entire Web.

Of course, YouTube is a site that hosts videos, and to do anything there, you’ll have to post videos of your own.

How do you do that?  How do you make them interesting?  How can you be sure anyone will see them?

That’s what the course is all about, and it sounded interesting.  I decided to check it out and see if YouTube Secrets is a scam or the real deal.

YouTube Secrets Overview

YouTube Secrets is largely a video course; you’ll be watching the videos online, though you can download them if you like.

The product is sold as a subscription model; you get a 7 day trial for $1 and after that, it costs $27 per month.  As the product seems to have a fixed amount of content, you’ll likely see everything within a fairly short period of time.

The sales page says that the product is the work of someone named Mike Williams, but the videos themselves seem to be narrated by Alun Owen, a respected online business guru.

Main Product

The main YouTube Secrets product consists of a series of video lectures.  There are 46 of them in all, and they run anywhere from two minutes to about 20 minutes in length.

Seventeen of those lectures have accompanying PDF files that provide additional documentation for their corresponding lecture.  In most cases, they also provide links to tools and other Websites that were mentioned in that lecture so that you can easily access them.

The videos cover all of the topics outlined on the sales page, including:

  • How to create videos
  • How to create videos from existing videos so you don’t have to make anything from scratch
  • How to monetize your videos
  • How to get your videos to rank so that people see them
  • How to make your videos interesting so that people watch them to the end
  • How to correctly title your videos
  • How to make the most of analytics
  • …and a lot more

youtube secrets sampleThe second bullet point might be the most important one – the course does show you how to get access to some twenty five million videos that you can legally reuse for whatever purpose you like.

That makes it really easy to create videos in almost any niche without having to shoot your own video or start from scratch.

I’ll freely admit that the YouTube Secrets videos aren’t overly flashy, and Alun Hill’s delivery is a bit matter-of-fact.  That said, he’s got a lot of great information to deliver, and the content does pretty much match up with what was described on the sales page.

One thing I liked about the videos is that they’re all fairly short.  Each one covers a specific topic and sticks pretty closely to that.

The nice thing about that is that it makes it easy to focus on that one thing, such as getting your title right or creating videos that keep your audience engaged.

youtube secrets scamThere are a lot of steps involved in setting up a network of videos so that you can use them to make money, but the course covers all of it in adequate detail, makes the videos short and easy to follow, and pretty much tells you everything you need to know.

If you watch the videos in this course, take notes, and do what they tell you to do, you’ll likely be successful with it.

As I mentioned earlier, the YouTube Secrets course is offered for 7 days for $1, and after that, it’s $27 per month.  I doubt you’d need to maintain a membership for much longer than a couple of months, but that might change if they add more content.

About the Author

youtube secrets scamI know nothing about Mike Williams, the name mentioned on the sales page.  But Alun Hill, the man narrating the videos, is a respected businessman with a history of showing people how to make money online.

He’s been featured on CNN and the BBC and has his own YouTube channel with hundreds of videos on it.

Customer Support and Guarantee

YouTube Secrets is sold via Clickbank, a respected online publisher of books in the marketing and self-help niches.

Clickbank handles the sales transaction on their secure servers, (https:) so your personal data will be safe.

They also offer a 60 day money back guarantee on all products sold through their platform.  If you find that this product isn’t a good fit for you, it won’t be terribly difficult to get a refund.

Pros and Cons

  • Informative videos
  • Each video is short and to the point
  • Fairly priced

  • The whole course is video; I’d have like to see more written content
  • The course is of a finite length, making the subscription model rather an odd fit

YouTube Secrets Summary

youtube secrets - thumbs upThere are lots of courses out there that can show you how to make money online and quite a few that are devoted to doing so with YouTube.

YouTube can put your product or video in front of millions of people, but only if you go about setting up your videos correctly.

You need good topics, a good title, good imagery, good content, good keywords, and the ability to tweak a few things here and there to get your videos ranked on the gigantic site.

YouTube Secrets tells you everything you need to know in a series of short, easy to follow videos that are accompanied by a handful of PDF files to provide you with necessary notes.

On the whole, it’s a pretty good course and I recommend it.
